Be enchanted by this spectacular cruise in the heart of the Mediterranean. You can discover the pearls of Sicily, the extraordinary Aeolian islands, in a new and different way. During this week, on board a gulet, you will visit the seven islands of volcanic origin, today part of the Unesco World Heritage. You can reach the inlets of Vulcano, the Grotta del Cavallo and the swimming pool of Venus, which owes its name to the Roman goddess, and has a wonderful crystal clear water. The journey continues to the stacks of Lipari and to the beach of Valle Muria, two pristine places accessible only by boat, then the path reaches the lake of Lingua in Salina!

The tour continues in Panarea, with its large rocky ridges of Basiluzzo and Lisca Bianca, an ideal place for a lunch with typical Aeolian products; and finally, after having circumnavigated Strombolicchio, the natural lighthouse of the island of Stromboli, we enjoy one of the incredible moments of this festival, the “Sciara del Fuoco”, an unforgettable natural spectacle. In the background the continuous and rhythmic explosive activity of the Stromboli volcano, or “Iddu” (“He”), as the locals call it. It is not just a contemplative holiday, but a truly active journey, intended to combine sailing and relaxation with cycling excursions to enjoy the wonders of the Aeolian Island

6 double cabins (French beds) with private bath / shower, 12 places; the gulet is 24.5 meters long and 6.25 meters wide, and was built in the Vedat Sungul shipyard in Bodrum in Turkey, with the ancient art of the Turkish shipbuilders. The solid pine and mahogany structure makes sailing truly comfortable. The gulet was completely renovated in 2012 and has 6 double cabins: where up to 12 people can be accommodated. All cabins have private bathrooms, with hot and cold water and a shower and a small wardrobe with enough space to place bags and luggage (please avoid rigid suitcases). The entire gulet is furnished with air conditioning and comfortable internal spaces, such as the spacious dinette. Guests can also take advantage of a large solarium and lie down on comfortable beach mattresses to enjoy the sound of the sea. The aft deck has a large and elegant room. The on-board catering is an excellent combination of seafood and fresh vegetables, pasta and meat, all seasoned with the scent of Mediterranean herbs.

ITINERARY

1st day: Catania

Meeting at 3.30 pm at Catania airport. Collective transfer to the port of Milazzo. Boarding at 18.00 at the Marina di Nettuno in Milazzo (Me), accommodation on board, welcome cocktail, dinner and presentation of the program. Night in the port of Milazzo.

2nd day: Milazzo 14 km approx.

You can reach Capo Milazzo by bike, possibility to swim in the Venere pool, a protected natural area. Return to Milazzo, possibility to visit the Castle of Milazzo and the ancient village, witness of the passage of Giuseppe Garibaldi. We return to the Marina di Milazzo where the gulet awaits; dinner and night in the port.

3rd day: Vulcano Island 18 km approx.

Navigation to the island of Vulcano; the “Sulfur Island”. Vulcano is famous for its sulphates in which it is possible to dive for a natural mud bath, healthy and relaxing for the skin. You can discover the hinterland of the island towards Piano Grillo, the ideal place to admire an incredible panorama. Free afternoon. Dinner on board and overnight in the port

.4th day: Panarea and Stromboli 3h30 approx. of trekking

Panarea, the smallest of the Aeolian islands, is reached. Panarea has long been the largest island in the archipelago; as evidence of this fact, there are numerous islets in the north-east (Basiluzzo, Spinazzola, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera, Bottaro and Dattilo), deriving from eruptions of a single and vast original volcanic complex, sunk in the sea following a violent eruption. Volcanic activity is still clearly visible on the island where fumaroles of vapors rise through the cracks between the rocks. Lunch on board and navigation to Stromboli. Trekking up to 400m. above sea level, to admire the volcano. Return on board for dinner, while the boat circumnavigates Stromboli to admire the night show of the “Sciara del Fuoco”. Picnic dinner on board, overnight at anchor in Stromboli.

5* day: Salina – Isole Malvasia 2h30 ca. di trekking
Prima colazione a bordo e navigazione verso Panarea. Tempo libero in mattinata per visitare il piccolo villaggio di Panarea, la spiaggia di Drautto e il villaggio preistorico. Pranzo pic nic a Cala Junco e navigazione verso l’isola di Salina, con una sosta per una nuotata. Sbarco a Salina e visita ad un negozio che vende prodotti tipici. Rientro in caicco, notte in porto a Salina. Cena a bordo.

6° day: Salina  22 km ca. – Lipari 22
Partiamo del porto ed esploriamo in bicicletta la più grande delle isole Eolie. Si pedala fino a Pollara, un punto panoramico sulla costa ovest con la possibilità di degustare l’ottima granita di Alfredo. Ritorno a bordo e navigazione fino a Lipari. Tempo libero per visitare il paese, con la possibilità di visitare i reperti archeologici del Museo Bernabò Brea, archeologo Ligure che ha fondato a il museo sulla la preistoria delle Isole Eolie. Cena libera e pernottamento nel porto di Lipari.

7th day: Lipari 25 km approx.

Today a fantastic coast to coast ride awaits us; you go from the white beaches, due to the ancient pumice extraction activity, and then Canneto, an exclusive holiday resort, to return to the historic center full of shops and restaurants. Return to the gulet and navigation to Milazzo. Dinner on board and overnight in the port.

8th day: Milazzo;

disembarkation at 9.00 am, group transfer in the morning to Catania airport, arrival at the airport approx. End of services.

Each  night on the boat: shower / toilet in the cabin
