Itinerary

1st day: individual arrival in Cannigione

2nd day: Costa Smeralda, ring tour approx. 54 km

Discover the beauty of the Costa Smeralda when the millionaires are far away! Pedal towards the San Pantaleo hills. Descend towards Porto Cervo and then towards Baia Sardinia, before returning to Cannigione.

3rd day: the archipelago of La Maddalena, loop tour approx. 60 km

Today we proceed by bicycle in a northerly direction, to Palau, from where you embark on the ferry to the lively city of La Maddalena, on the island of the same name. From here, through a bridge you reach the island of Caprera, where Garibaldi’s house museum is located. Once back in La Maddalena, a ring tour will allow you to discover the beautiful beaches of this small island. The day ends by taking the ferry back to Palau from where you can go back to Cannigione.

4th day: Cannigione – Tempio Pausania / Nuchis ca. 51 km

Today we explore the beauties of the interior of Sardinia, perhaps less praised, but incredibly suggestive. Our holiday takes you by bike to Arzachena, then to the hills and lakes of Sant’Antonio di Gallura and finally to Calangianus, Nuchis / Tempio Pausania

5th day: Tempio Pausania / Nuchis – Castelsardo ca. 49 km

From Tempio Pausania you head back to the sea, not before seeing the Valley of the Moon. The cycling stage ends in Castelsardo, a medieval stronghold built by the Doria family in 1102, overlooking the sea. You will have the opportunity to visit its ancient village, which has been kept intact throughout history.

Day 6: Castelsardo – Sassari approx. 55 km (alternatively easier route of 36 km)

You will visit another area of ​​the interior, crossing the villages of Nulvi and Osilo to enjoy spectacular views over the whole Anglona region. Tonight we sleep in Sassari, the second largest city in Sardinia.

7th day: Sassari – Alghero approx. 39 km

The final stage of our cycling holiday takes you to Alghero. After leaving Sassari, you will reach the coast by cycling along secondary roads. Alghero is the seal to the journey, a beautiful fortified city, famous for its ramparts on the sea. The streets of the historic center entirely closed to traffic retain a special charm, which will not fail to conquer you. The Algheresi continue to speak a dialect that descends directly from Catalan, making the city a linguistic enclave.

8th day: Alghero, end of the journey after breakfast
